My dad always had been financially savvy and made sure to teach his children from a young age to save and invest our money to ensure our long-term financial security.
I didn’t fully appreciate his guidance until my son Patrick’s birth. He was diagnosed with special needs, which would necessitate him having 24-hour supervision for the rest of his life. I felt so relieved to know that the money I had invested due to the encouragement and guidance of my dad would be more than sufficient to take care of all his future needs.
This experience opened my eyes to how vital having a financial plan in place was. A desire was lit within me to use my talent for numbers as well as my own experience of running a small business to help empower other small business owners to protect their loved ones and ensure their long-term financial security no matter what challenges they are met with in their lives.
